During the last two months I have been knitting quite a lot – for newborn babies and for our advent calendar – but unfortunately I forgot to take pictures most of the time before I gave the gifts away. So I can’t show them off on my Blog now.
I remembered to take a photograph of the last gift I gave away though. This striped hat was for a new little family member who was born on Winter Solstice. When I heard the happy news early that morning I knew that the world wouldn’t go down.
The free Ravelry pattern is the Plain and Striped Newborn (Purple) Hat. The yarn is 100 % Merino Wool that I bought in a local craft shop.
Another knitting project that I (nearly) finished are those socks for Lenja. I wanted to add a few balloons but I’m not sure if I will now. Lenja loves them as they are. She was delighted to be allowed to stand on the table for our Photo Shooting.
I got the sock pattern from the book Cute Knits for Baby Feet and they are my third pair of socks that I tried from this book. I always thought sock knitting is quite difficult but I think I finally got the hang of it.
How about you? What are your knitting or crafting projects these days?
Cute stuff, Halina! Again, I wish I could knit. Well, I am familiar with the principle of knitting, I “can” knit! I just can’t put the knitted object into some wearable shape it seems… Maybe you can show me some day!
I will show you Eva!!! It’s so easy if you know the basics. Well, it depends what you want to knit. But the things I knit are very basic and easy to learn!

Danke Mama! Da bin ich aber mal gespannt auf die Pullis. Ich hab auch einen Pulli fuer eins der Babies gestrickt aber hab ja leider kein Foto. Vielleicht wage ich mich mal an einen fuer Finn.
