Although this time of the year certainly isn’t my favourite season I do love the days between Christmas and New Year.
From the time that I was 11 years old and I started journalling I used to love reflecting on the old and making plans for the new year. Just after all the festivities of Christmas were over I would disappear into my room to read through my journal(s) of the passed year.
So many funny, sad and special moments that I would have forgotten by now if I hadn’t written them down. After reflecting the year gone by I started filling pages with dreams and plans for the upcoming year.
Sometimes we go through life and don’t even notice what we have achieved or that some of our plans have actually worked out. Today I like the idea that all those experiences – good or bad, heartbreaking and hilarious – brought us to where we are now, made us who we are at this special moment.
And that it’s all good, exactly the way it should be.
This year I found a beautiful addition to my annual New Years Journalling. I discovered Leonie Dawson’s hand drawn yearly workbooks (you can find the ones for 2013 here or by clicking on the picture below).
I am an affiliate to Leonie’s products which means that I receive a percentage of every book that is sold through this link. But I would never recommend anything on my blog that I don’t absolutely love myself. I just printed out my workbooks today and can’t wait to fill all those beautiful pages in the next few days.
Journalling, Leonie’s workbooks or reading tarot cards – whatever your New Years ritual might be – I wish you an inspiring start into 2013!!!
I also want to say a big THANK YOU for supporting me throughout my first year of blogging! Your comments and encouragement meant a lot to me!!! I’m looking forward to seeing you back in 2013!!!
